A serial sweater, Brittney first began yoga rather reluctantly to complement her Crossfit training. She’d spent years putting clients through their paces as an aerobics and HIIT instructor by day while reporting and presenting the news by night. When the time was right the benefits of yoga revealed themselves to this fitness junkie, forcing her to take a step back from the elusive TV industry & chase her passion in life – health and fitness. Whilst drawn to yoga by the asana practice, she soon discovered the practice to be so much more.
Brittney considers it a privilege to share her personal yoga practice with her students. Forever a dedicated student herself, Brittney completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2018 with Creature Yoga in Byron Bay. She is currently completing her 500 hour certification with her teachers Bess Prescott and Tahl Rinsky. Brittney has also studied with respected practitioners Rose Baudin, Dena Kingsberg and Clive Sheridan. Her time practicing and being guided under Commune Yoga’s Patrick Beach and Carling Harps has also ignited in her a love for inversions. Still a passionate Crossfitter, Britney loves introducing yoga to self-confessed ‘gym junkies’ at gyms and boxes around Brisbane. She’s known for bringing a little fire and sweat to her Vinyasa classes, as well as elements of Awakening Yoga. Brittney also continues to teach regular HIIT classes and freelancers as a reporter for ABC News. You can check out more of Brittney at take24project!
